Motorcycles:
1st one- 1982 KZ550. Bought it at age 25 with my then husband. He took a nail in the front tire and totalled it on Hwy 17 north of Santa Cruz, CA 3 days after we bought it. I never got to ride it.
2nd one- 1986 Yamaha Radian, 600cc in-line 4. My then boyfriend talked me into this one. It was too tall for me and pretty fast, maybe not ideal for a beginner. It stayed in California when I moved to Alabama 3 years ago. I finally hauled it here on a truck. I dropped it on my leg at a stop sign and was forced to accept that being really stubborn does not entirely make up for being little and short. Ironically, my boss and I were riding back from the Yamaha dealer, where I had been sitting on a used '98 Savage. (I had been interested in a Savage around the time I bought the Radian but couldn't find one for sale.) I went back and bought the Savage.
3rd one-1998 Suzuki Savage. My feet touch flat, it has a low center of gravity, and it's light enough that I could easily pick it up off the ground if I had to. (I haven't had to.) I picked this motorcycle out myself, and it suits me
